Spa Information : The Palace Mahdia thalasso spa centre first opened in 2002, and combines traditional thalassotherapy spa treatments with Kneipp technique treatments (alternation of hot water and cold water baths). The Thalasso Palace perfectly answers the personal needs and requirements today′s often stressful and relentless world implies. The centre is supplied by seawater that is pumped a 1OOOm from the beach and out at sea, at an 8m depth.
The centre covers a 25OOsqm surface and features about 20 individual treatment cabins, ideal for affusion showers, massages and other specific treatments.
The thalasso spa centre uses both Algotherm and Phytomer products. The Thalasso Palace offers a whole range of different treatments. Water treatments are the following: jet showers, affusion showers, watermassages bath, alga wrap, steam baths, marine trail, phlebologic trail, sea mineral muds, cryotherapy, collective cavitosonic, individual airsprays, bio-marine basin physiotherapy, sauna, aquagym, phlebotone, and frigitherapy.
More specific treatments come to complement the above-listed range, such as shiatsu, foot reflexology, relaxation therapy, and Ayurveda massages. The thalasso spa centre′s mini-club, Les Petits Anges, is open to children aged between 2 and 12. Baby-sitting services are available upon request, on a 24h notice. Thalasso guests are given free access to the steam bath, the sauna and the fitness centre.
Pleasant climate all-year round, temperate winters Little rainfall

The Mahdia Palace also boasts prime facilities for corporate seminars and incentives, with a room fit to welcome 900 people in a muffled atmosphere.
The Thalasso Palace has made great efforts to diversify the range of its thalassotherapy products. If treatments offered at the spa centre were basic at the very beginning, their range is now vaster and richer than ever before.
The individual cabins′ hygiene is spotless, and a beeper allows you to call for a beautician if needed, which shows for a certain sense of security.
Nonetheless, certain details of the centre may yet be improved: simple Plexiglass folding doors separate cabins from one another. Marble walls and doors, like in other institutes of such standard in Tunisia, would have been a plus. But that does not in any way distract from the quality and professionalism of the Thalasso Palace′s services.
Mahdia is a small and remote beachside resort, and will probably not satisfy guests seeking a resort offering a plethora of activities. In that case, hotel Hasrudbal in Hammamet and hotel Yadis in Djerba are safe bets. But if it is peace and quiet that you seek, then Mahdia is a golden destination.
