The spa centre of Belle Ile en Mer can accommodate up to 60 guests per day. The products used for the treatments are made specially for the spa centre of Brittany, and are composed of seaweed harvested in the Iroise Sea. Off Brittany's coast, this maritime area is classified as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO and guaranties an exceptional richness in marine active ingredient.

PRACTICAL INFO:
For your spa vacation in Brittany, the spa centre of Belle Ile en Mer will provide to you bathrobes, towels, bath-caps and slippers. You only need to bring along your swimsuit.

The guests have access to the facilities during their half-day treatments: indoors sea water heated pool (34°C) with jacuzzi and swans neck ducts, sauna, Turkish bath, light-therapy cabins, experience shower (recreational shower course with lights and scents), and rest rooms with panoramic views of the Goulphar Bay.

All the hotel's clients (guests and accompanying guests) have access to the hotel's facilities: outdoors heated sea water pool, panoramic terrace facing the sea, indoors heated fresh water pool, jacuzzi facing the sea, Turkish bath, fitness room.

Our opinion

This small but very effective spa centre offers a service of quality. The manager of the centre comes from the Georges V Spa. Massages are simply delightful and the affusion massages are for both front and back. The group courses such as yoga take place indoors, allowing the guest to enjoy an extraordinary view of Port-Goulphar. Herbal tea and fruits are distributed for free.

The solarium also features this incredible view. Only the light therapy room could use some improvement as it is a little small and does not feature aromatherapy. But overall, the centre, which is linked to the Castel Clara Hotel, is one of France's best spa centre, according to us. The quality of the drapery of the place is an example of the attention to detail shown by the establishment.

The Spa Centre
The rooms are plain but refined, the walls covered by drapes, and the views are simply exceptional. Duplex flats are there for families. Children and their parents will feel at ease in the cosy atmosphere of the place. The very large heated sea water outdoors pool opens on a park filled with centennial Libyan cedars.

The Food
It is one of the hotel's best feature: the personal is discreet and very skilled.
Breakfast takes place in an hexagonal room featuring a bay window opening on the pool and garden. Dishes are refined with blue and white breton colors. We have qualified the breakfast buffet as never seen before: oysters, home made smoked salmon, multiple bread, fresh fruit salad, cakes and pastries, viennoiseries, homemade jams (on sale at the gift shop). An exceptional service.
Some dishes from the buffet are labeled “healthy”.
The menu is unbelievable, or should we say menus, as there is a gourmet menu and a dietetic menu.
Sea food, fish and crustacean have a place of choice on these menus.
You can have lunch there, on a vast terrace opening on a superb view.

Belle Ile en Mer is only 15km away from the continent. This distance provides the spa centre with the pure water required for spa treatments.
