Situated in a seaside health resort, within the rhythm of multiple animations and the authentic natural environment of La Camargue, the Mediterranean luxury spa centre “La Grande Motte” has the necessary arguments to convince you and knows how to satisfy your needs.

Built in 1988, the health spa centre reserves you a privileged welcome and will surely guide you towards relaxation and fitness during your spa holiday with the help of its team of physiotherapists, hydrotherapists, dietitians, and estheticians working together under the permanent supervision of specialist physicians.

The team at La Grande Motte spa resort specifies, at your arrival by complete clinical assessment, the frequency and the type of spa packages adapted to your health condition and depending on your needs.


Spa treatments are procured alternatively on a half-day basis, a day in the morning, the following day in the afternoon and saturday in the morning only (except sunday).

The beneficial climate and zen atmosphere of the Mediterranean spa centre are enhanced by state of the art equipments and up-to-date facilities.

Seaside heath spa and hydrotherapy facilities:

jacuzzi with hydroxeur, jacuzzi with oxymer and a new integrated systematic technology for sanitary and decontamination, jet showers, seawater affusion showers equipped with antibacterial mats, algae and sea mud infrared wraps, thermal sea mud balls, seawater aerosols.

Physiotherapy facilities:

rehabilitation seawater swimming-pool heated by jet-stream, rehabilitation and passive gymnastics room, dry massage, perineal reshaping up (bio feed-back), physiotherapy, relaxation courses, pressotherapy, cryotherapy, scheduled hydro-jets massage, electrotherapy.

The thalassotherapy centre proposes its 6 days spa treatment packages but advises the guests to opt for 10 to 12 days spa packages for better results.

Opening hours for weekend spa breaks: saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m only.

La Grande Motte thalasso centre is closed in summer till August 30th 2009, closed on saturdays at 1 p.m. and reopen on mondays at 9 a.m.

The thalasso spa centre is open during two weekends only: on July 11th and August 15th.

All treatments included in each spa package are not detailed because they are proposed according to your needs, your requirements and the objectives set by you and the physician of the spa centre during the interview conducted prior to any cure. They will be chosen among the list of spa, hydrotherapy and physiotherapy facilities proposed by the thalasso resort.

The medical consultation is compulsory for all cures lasting more than 3 days. Failing to do so, you should bring along a less than 15 days no counter-indication certificate.

Wearing pool sandals is compulsory at the health spa centre. The guests should bring along their bathing suits and caps.

“La Grande Motte” thalasso resort also offers tailor-made spa treatment packages in the form of 30 mn, 45 mn or 1 h session: shiatsu, relaxation massage, plantar reflexology, Thaï massage, Californian massage, ayurvedic massage, massage with essential, baby massage, biofeedback, lymphatic draining, dietetic consultation, metabolic assessment, circulatory gymnastics, Cellu M6 session, Chinese massage, Korean relaxation massage.

The beauty parlour of the luxury spa centre also offers you all types of traditional treatments performed in institute: facial and body cares, epilation, manicure, pedicure.

The beauty spa centre “Esthétique” is open on monday to saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The estheticians can propose you the following packages: 3 special Maria Galland facial, 3 sensitive skin facial or 6 high pressure UV sessions.

Maria Galland, Phyt's, Science et Mer are the main beauty centre partners of the spa resort's beauty salon.

Tonic Legs Spa Package 6d :

La Grande Motte's Tonic Legs Spa Package is a program composed of 30 treatments performed during 6 days to treat the circulatory affections of the veinous return: heavy legs, varixes, varicosities, edemas.

It is intended to restore the veinous return by stimulating the muscular pump of the calf.

Your health spa holidays at La Grande Motte includes:

Individual treatments:

- 3 jacuzzi baths with essential oils
- 3 circulating jet showers
- 3 algae wraps
- 3 massage with affusion showers
- 3 pressotherapy sessions
- 6 cryotherapy sessions
- 1 feet refloxology sessions
- 2 draining massages

Group treatments:

- 4 aquagym sessions
- 2 circulatory gym in room

Free access to the fitness and relaxation areas: indoor heated seawater pool, 400 sq. m. outdoor swimming-pool, sauna, hammam, resting room, and shaping up room.
