Spa Information :
It is in Roscoff, precisely for the setting, quality of the air and water, that a doctor chose, one century ago, to create the first thalassotherapy centre of France. Thus, in 1899, the first Marine Institute of France opened in Roscoff, giving birth to modern thalassotherapy.

Located on top of a cliff, like a ships head, the spa centre faces the open sea.

The marine environment, omnipresent panorama that varies with the tides and the everyday display of the magnificent Island of Batz contribute to make of your stay a most pleasant and relaxing one.

Roscoff is also one of the first spa centers to have treated rheumatism.

Associated to the exceptional beneficial climate, the treatments are prescribed according to a specific protocol.

The spa centre has in all 3 doctors, 10 therapists, 3 masseuses, 18 hydrotherapists and 4 swimming monitors.

The building is spread over 1500sqm and 3 storeys. It comprises of a Pool Area that offers a swimming pool as well as a recreational pool with geysers, swan's necks, underwater jets, jacuzzis and waterfalls.

The open activities of Roscoff are the swimming pool, recreational pool, the hammam, the resting area with sea view, the solarium and the cardio-training area.

There is also a Beauty Area in the institute. The spa centre uses Lirikos beauty products. The beauty salon proposes treatments “à la carte” for you to choose the treatments you want to complete your spa package.

The Marine Institute is open from Mondays to Saturdays between 8am and 12pm and 2pm and 5pm. The spa treatments are alternated one day in the morning and one day in the afternoon, except for the Newly Mom Spa Package (mornings only) and the Anti-Stress Spa Package (mornings only with 3 afternoons of outdoors oxygenation).

PRACTICAL INFO

Bathrobes and towels are provided by the spa centre.

A medical consult is compulsory and is included in the Health, Anti-Cellulite, Anti-Aging, Newly Mom and Back Focused Spa Packages and recommended for all other spa packages.

Roscoff Brittany

Newly Mom Spa Package 6d :

The spa centre of Roscoff in Brittany is located not far away from St Malo and Le Touquet. There was developed this spa package which associates thalassotherapy treatments and post-natal rehabilitation techniques. This spa aims also at developing the baby's sensory capacities.

This spa package promotes a strong mother-baby bond for exquisite intimate well-being moments.

The program lasts 6 days and comprises of 24 treatments for the mother and 5 treatments for the baby:

-3 skin-rolling or relaxation massages
-3 seaweed jacuzzi sessions
-3 manual hydromassage
-3 shower jets
-3 remineralizing seaweed wraps
-3 hydromassage baths
-3 perineal rehabilitation sessions or post natal gymnastics sessions
-3 group treatments (choose between aquagym, relaxation or stretching/muscular reinforcement) or 3 phlebotones
-5 baby baths with initiation to massages with the mother and/or father

During the mother's treatments, the baby is looked after at the nursery which is open everyday between 8.45 am and 1.45 pm except on Sundays. The nursery is also equipped with the necessary material for childcare.

Note that this Mother-Baby Spa Package proposed by the spa centre of Brittany is only possible between the 3rd and 9th month after the birth. Vaccines are not compulsory but the BCG is recommended.
