Spa Information :

Aquapura Douro is a spa, not a thalasso, hotel in Portugal. The spa treatments are administered using freshwater, and not seawater like in thalassotherapy.

The spa centre adds perfection to the luxury hotel Aquapuro Douro: the modern and refined interior design is an invitation to body and ming well-being within 2200 sq.m. of facilities gently lit by a few candles.

This spa of Portugal combines natural elements with ancestral treatment and massage techniques from every corner of the world.

Despite its 2200 sq.m., this spa centre guarantees privacy and tranquility during your spa treatments. At the guests' disposal: a total of 10 stalls for individual treatments, among which a double stall with private relaxation room for Duo Spa treatments, for those wishing to enjoy the relaxing benefits of spa and balneotherapy with their dear one. These modern cabins offer a view of the woods, the river Douro and the green gardens of the luxury spa resort.

In addition to the 10 treatment stalls, you can enjoy a free access to the relaxation area during your treatments: heated indoor pool with underwater jets, hammam, panoramic sauna, fitness room open 24h a day and laconium (gentle sauna).

Bathrobe and slippers are provided in your room. Disposable slips are also provided during your spa treatments.


PRACTICAL INFO

The minimum age of persons allowed to receive treatments at the spa is 18.

Aquapura Douro Valley Spa Centre is open every day of the week (sunday as well); the facilities are available from sunday to thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; on fridays, saturdays and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Balneotherapy spa treatments are scheduled from 10h30 a.m. to 7 p.m. (sunday to thursday) and 10h30 a.m. to 8 p.m. (on fridays, saturdays and public holidays).

Tired, stressful and would like to take a spa vacation to Portugal to relax? Experience the relaxing 6-day spa package offered by the spa hotel Aquapuro Douro. The modern and refined decoration of this luxury spa centre will embark you into a world of well-being, where you will feel easily disconnected from your hectic daily life.

Your spa package includes:

- 1 natural Aquapura body scrub (25 mn): for an illuminated, radiant and satin-soft skin! Either a scrub with olive paste and olive nut slivers, or a scrub with honey and almonds, or a scrub with essential oils and
Himalayan salts.

- 1 Ytsara Bodhia treatment (55 mn): firming and reshaping body mask with Thai clay, camphor oil and black pepper. This warm body wrap will open the skin pores, purifying the skin and eliminating impurities. This spa care will be followed by an application of fresh gel made with mint all over your body, leaving your skin cleaner and the pores tightened.

- 1 Ytsara Nuat Nammam treatment (55 min): a combination of reshaping Swedish massage and Asian aromatherapy massage, using oil and applying acupuncture techniques. You can choose among different themes according to your needs: relaxing, slimming, purifying or energizing.

- 1 Ytsara Tanaka treatment (55 mn): this exfoliating scrub with Tanaka (a Thai tree) powder will unclog the pores of your skin and eliminate dead skin cells. It will be followed by an application of refreshing and appeasing gel made with aloe vera, Thai bergamot, and mint. You skin will be then prepared for the oriental massage to help your body and mind get revitalized and regenerated.

- 1 Karin Herzog treatment for head, scalp and face (55 mn): inspired by an ancient Tibetan technique of skull stimulation, this massage stimulates the energy in your head and enhance the secretion of endorphins - effective for deep relaxation and absolute well-being. The oxygenating facial treatment will help your skin regenerate and recover its normal function.

- 1 complete body massage: individuals suffering from stress and fatigue will appreciate this treatment focussed on absolute body relaxation.

In addition to your spa package, you will have free access to the relaxation area: heated indoor swimming-pool with underwater jets, hammam, panoramic sauna, fitness room open 24h a day and laconium (gentle sauna).
