Relais de Margaux
The hotel features 100 unique, spacious rooms, each of them with a different, stylish decoration. All of them provide air-conditioning, direct phone, safe, trouser-press, wifi connection (except for “Harmonie” rooms).
Different room grades can be chosen, among which:
- 16 “Club rooms” (37 y²): they are located in the ancient part of the building and pay tribute to Bordeaux style: rich and elegant.
- 42 “Prestige rooms” (44 y²): they are situated in the right wing of the spa hotel and are even more spacious. They encompass a small sitting room and an entrance. They are filled with natural light.
- 28 “Harmonie rooms” (46 y²): they are rooms built in a new wing near the institute. However, the Bordeaux style with oak furniture and lime finish was fully respected. Thus, they combine ancient and modern style to produce a very bright, relaxing atmosphere. 6 of the rooms can be connecting upon request, and are consequently an ideal solution for families. 14 others offer an all-round view on the golf course and the Gironde River.
- 6 “Junior suites” (50 y²): you can access directly from them to the wellness centre. Oak wood and lime finish offer a relaxing atmosphere, contributing to peace of mind. They also have, in addition to the bath tub, an independent shower. They can be connecting. Thanks to their private balcony (9 m²) and large openings, they offer a bright atmosphere and a breathtaking view over the golf course′s lake.
- 8 “Suites” (88 y²): they are located in different parts of the mansion. They combine exceptional space, light, and majestic views. Guests are provided with the utmost tranquillity combined with French elegance.
For seminars and meetings, the hotel features 10 rooms with all amenities (air-conditioning and natural light). Restaurants :
Restaurant "La Brasserie du Lac"
La Brasserie du Lac looks out onto the golf course and the Gironde estuary, and will offer you inventive food, inspired by French traditional products. It is open everyday; you can enjoy meals from 12.00 to 10.00 pm. The Bar is also open everyday, from 11.00 am to midnight.
Restaurant "L’Ile Vincent"
Situated in the oldest part of the mansion, this gastronomic restaurant will give you the opportunity of tasting refined, creative meals from the French food. You can eat inside or enjoy sunny weather on the terrace.
What’s more, the restaurant is located in the ancient place where wine was traditionally stored (called “le chai” in French). You will indulge in sampling exceptional wines among a wide range of bottles from their rich cellar. How about enjoying a glass of Château Margaux or Pomerol?
The restaurant is open in the evenings on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and on Sundays for lunch.
You can eat from 12.15 to 2.30 pm and from 7.15 to 9.30 pm.

A wide range of activities are available in the resort and in the surroundings. Bordeaux not being far away from the institute, you will also enjoy the historic richness of the region.
Whether you want to start playing golf or you already want to improve your game, Le Relais de Margaux provides a wide, beautiful golf in the very heart of the resort.
It features an 18-hole, par 71 golf course, stretching over 6690 yards (6020 m) amidst “Le Relais de Margaux” estate. This course was specially designed by Olivier Dongradi, who also achieved other famous French golf courses such as Mont-Griffon or le Château d′Augerville near Paris. The course nestles in perfect harmony among a beautiful setting between the Gironde estuary and Margaux vineyards. You will also be able to train thanks to 21 practise stands (8 of them are roofed), a putting green, and a chipping green. You will also find all necessary amenities such as changing rooms, a pro-shop and a café with restaurant. So, to make your holidays perfect, do not miss tee time after care treatments...
What′s more, the resort also provides an outdoor swimming-pool (it can be accessed from June 1st until September 30th), a volley-ball pitch, billiards, fitness room, and a tennis court.
You will also be able to enjoy a wide range of different sports outside the golf and well-being resort: whether you enjoy hiking in nature or biking, you will make the most of the various footpaths stretching along 4600 miles (2750 km). You can rent bikes at the hotel and a horse-riding centre is located in the vicinity of the hotel.
You also can go water-skiing on the Carcans Lake. And Lacanau beach, only 66 miles (40 km) away from Le Relais de Margaux, will give you the opportunity of bathing, enjoying the waves of the Atlantic Ocean, and even getting sun-tanned! And how about surfing?
