The Spa Village is a unique retreat that extols the healing cultures of the region and offers a respite from the rest of the world. The abundance of Malay, Chinese, Indian and Thai practices makes this the ideal setting for complete rejuvenation.

The Spa Village is a collection of low buildings and structures, featuring both indoor and open-air spaces, spread over 4 acres on a quiet bay between the sea and the rainforest. Designed to soothe and refresh the senses, the various buildings face the sea, and are interspersed with open courtyards, lotus ponds, an herb garden, and a reflexology path.

Programmes combine physical and spiritual health and well being, and are based on concepts of rejuvenation, relaxation and detoxification.

Your treatment at the Spa Village will begin with the unique Bath House Ritual, representing various bathing traditions from around Asia. This starts with a foot bath and an invigorating Chinese Foot Pounding, previously only enjoyed by the concubines of feudal China. Then you are sure to enjoy the traditional Malay “circulating” bath, and a Japanese-style cleansing followed by a dip in the heated Rotenburu pool. The spa staff will then refresh your senses with a Shanghai Scrub. After your scrub, enjoy a cup of calming tea before you begin your spa treatment.

All treatments are conducted in private spa pavilions. You may choose from the extensive list of a la carte treatments or design your own day with spa packages lasting several hours.

Body treatments are Javanese Lulur (Balinese massage followed by an herbal and fresh yoghurt treatment to moisture skin), Campur-Campur (aromatherapy combining Thai and Malaysian techniques), and Thai herbal massage.

Massages can be Malaysian, Thai, Balinese, Shiatsu, Swedish, Aromatherapy or Reflexology. Deluxe massages last 50 min and Supreme 80 min.

You can choose from different skin care available for women as well as for men.

At the Wrap House, experience a variety of daily specials such as Spirulina (with seaweed to eliminate toxins), Moor Mud, Lapis-Lapis (an herbal mixture to detoxify, reduce water retention and relieve pains), cucumber aloe wrap and papaya enzyme wrap.

There are many Ayurvedic and Chinese therapy: Abhyanga (alleviates fatigue, improves blood circulation and rejuvenates the body), Udwarthanam (tones muscles, reduces fat and water retention), Abhyanga and Mukha Lepam (improves skin texture), Abhyanga and Siro Lepam (special hair care), Dinacharya (cleansing of the 5 sensory organs and Indian massage).

Healing programmes may be followed for 7, 14, 21 or 28 days. Thakra Dhara (soothes the nervous system, relieves insomnia and stress), Shiro Dhara (restores nervous equilibrium), Pizhichil (relieves arthritis), Navarakizhi (strengthen muscles), Yoga.

Traditional Chinese programmes: Gu Fang Xun Shen (rids the body of negative energies), Jin Pao Shou Jiao (reduces aches and prevents arthritis), Quan Shen Jin Yu (balances Yin and Yang), Tui Na An Mo (massage relieving tensions), Cupping (reactivates acupressure points of the body under heat effect), Tai Chi Quan (breathing exercises and gestures to stimulate your body and mind).

Half-day and day programmes allow you to combine several treatments: Ayurveda, Malaysian, Chinese or Occidental Day.

Lasting 4 hours, the half day Ultimate Spa Package consists of:

- 1 bath of your choice: algae bath (purifying the body) or Mandi Susu (hydrating and nourishing milk bath) or aromatherapy bath (with petals of Malaysian flowers).

- 1 deluxe massage: this massage will take you to a world of a totally new relaxation... It will help your body eliminate its toxins and reinforce your immune system.

- 1 personalized facial spa treatment to be chosen among:

* Sundari Visage: facial care for all skin types. Your skin will be revitalized and recover its normal function.

* Sundari Neem: facial care for mature skins - your skin will be hydrated, retrieve its elasticity and firmness.

* Detoxifying Sundari: this facial care enhances the shininess and suppleness of your face. Your skin gets nourished and cleansed of toxins and impurities.

* Mian Bu Hu Liao (facial care with Chinese herbs): aromatic herbs used to unblock nasal duct, relieve headache and arouse all senses. You will enjoy a cleansing facial care made of blackberries, a scrub with waxy marrow and sandalwood to exfoliate dead skins, and a acupression massage to tone up your face. The Mian Bu Hu Liao ends with a ginseng and pearl mask.

* Muka Berseri-Seri (Malay facial care): this traditional facial care consists of a Malay massage and a facial tonic applied with a pouch of herbs. It uses turmeric and wild ginger.

* Mukha Lepam (ayurvedic facial care): application of a herbal paste on your face to even out your skin texture.

This 8 hour long spa package consists of:

Morning :

* spiruline wrap: even if you are not on a thalassotherapy vacation in Malaysia as Pangkor Laut Resort only offers spa and thermal therapies, you will however enjoy the beneficial effects of marine ingredients like this algae wrap which will nourish your body while helping it free of its toxins.

* Moor mud wrap: spa treatment with black organic mud, rich in oligo-elements and minerals, and ideal to soften, remineralize and purify your skin.

* Lapis-Lapis wrap (Lapis: herbs growing in Malaysia): application of a mixture of citronella, ginger, galangal and camphor on your body, followed by a wrapping in warming covers. It is ideal before a Malay or Thai massage, helps purify the body, reduce water retention, and relieve muscular and articular pains.

* Chinese herbal wrap: leaves your skin soft, revitalized, get cleansed of impurities.

* Cucumber & Aloe wrap: aftersun and anti-inflammation care, ideal for sensitive skins.

* Papaya enzyme wrap: applied on the skin, makes you have a glowing complexion!


- 1 hair spa treatment with Coco Cream: ideal care to keep your hair shiny and healthy, and maintain its natural color.

Afternoon :

- 1 manicure and pedicure : the manicure comprises an exfoliation, an epilation with paraffin wax, and a massage of the hands and arms. The pedicure consists of an exfoliation, epilation with paraffin wax, and a massage of the feet and legs.

Pavillon Spa Belian is itself a wellness refuge, having its own jacuzzi, yoga lodge, resting room, and a hammam, plus its private area dedicated to spa treatments.
